What?
We used straws to blow paint into the shape of a cherry tree. The students placed a blob of paint on their paper and then pushed it across their page with their breath. They then used a paintbrush to draw some cherry blossoms.
Why?
This activity is really fun! The students love using a straw to push paint across the page. It takes a lot of patience to control the path the paint goes. The paint is very unpredictable. The plan you have for it rarely works out. You need to be creative and able to improvise.
